Shang Shung International School of Tibetan Medicine is located on the territory of Dzamling gar. You can experience various program here: Meditation, Yantra Yoga, Vajra Dance, Khaita Joyful Dance and integral medicine for wellbeing. This Conference Centre will provide a hub for cultural, artistic and educational projects within the local community of Adeje, Tenerife.

Dzamling Gar was created by Professor Namkhai Norbu in 2013 as a global center for the worldwide Dzogchen Community, the center where ‘happiness is present’ and is possible to enjoy being together.

The site is a large piece of land located in the south of the beautiful island of Tenerife, which is the largest and most populated island of the seven Canary Islands. The oldest mountain ranges on the island rose from the Atlantic Ocean as the result of a volcanic eruption around twelve million years ago. Tenerife is known internationally for its warm and pleasant climate, as the “Island of Eternal Spring” (Isla de la Eterna Primavera). The island has a warm sub-tropical climate with an average of 18–24 °C in the winter and 24–28 °C in the summer.

The island of Tenerife was identified by Professor Namkhai Norbu, as an ideal place for a Global Gar, a Tibetan word that refers to a place where we could gather, studying and practicing and collaborating together to preserve Tibetan Culture and to benefit future generations. The Dzamling Gar Conference Centre, that was inaugurated in December 2018, will act as a hub for cultural, artistic and educational projects within the local community of Adeje, Tenerife.

We are located about a half hour from the southern airport (TFS) and one hour from the northern airport (TFN). You can find taxis and buses to the center from both airports.
