During a face-to-face consultation a qualified, experienced practitioner of Tibetan medicine (Menpa) will use three methods to assess your individual constitutional energy pattern and degree of imbalance.
- Questioning – Such as asking about your lifestyle, thinking, environment, food, and behavior.
- Observation – Looking at your skin, tongue, and urine sample.
- Touch – Feeling the radial artery pulse on both your wrists, inspecting any abnormal growths or painful areas/points of tenderness on your body, and checking your skin temperature.
In this was she/he can find out
- What is your constitutional nature?
- What, if any, energies/humors are out of balance
- How this is affecting your general state of health.
In case of online consultation for obvious reasons, the methods will be based only on questioning and a partial observation
During the consultation the practitioner of Tibetan medicine will advise on:
- A correct nutritional style according to your constitutional nature
- A correct lifestyle according to your constitutional type
- Herbs and supplements that can strengthen your health
- External therapies may be recommended based on individual needs.

Tibetan medicine practitioners must follow state laws for the practice of complementary and integrative therapies because they are not licensed as physicians in Spain. They cannot call themselves a doctor and are not allowed to use treatments that are covered by other licensing boards.
